Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has advised England and Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford to leave the club.
Speaking on Sky Bet’s Stick to Football podcast on Thursday, the former Liverpool player said that Rashford’s recent form has made him less appealing for the England team, adding that the 27-year-old has been an unused substitute in the past two games for Manchester United.
“I think it’s time for him to move on, but I’ve seen things in the papers about Real Madrid, Barcelona, and PSG.
“It’s Marcus Rashford… am I missing something? He can’t get into the Manchester United team, and he’s not even in the England squad,” Carragher said on the Stick to Football podcast.
The England forward has struggled to get regular playing time under new manager Ruben Amorim.
PUNCH Online had reported that Rashford hinted at a possible departure from Manchester United, admitting that he is prepared for a new chapter in his career.
Rashford, 27, was left out of the Manchester United squad
that defeated Manchester City last weekend.
His manager Ruben Amorim had already expressed his desire to help him regain top form.
Amorim’s decision to drop Rashford led to speculation that the player could seek to leave the club next year.
However, Carragher believes Rashford should leave Old
Trafford, adding that he may have to lower his expectations regarding the size of his next club.
